Wipeout Survival Introduction

 

Breath control training for surfers and kitesurfers.

This one-day course is designed for surfers and kitesurfers who want to improve their breath control and feel more confident during wipeouts, even if they have no previous freediving experience.

 

The program combines an AIDA 1 introduction to freediving with practical wipeout-focused training. You will learn the basic principles of breath-hold, breathing techniques and safety, followed by water sessions designed to help you stay calm and in control when you fall into the water.

 

The day begins with a theory session, where we introduce the fundamentals of freediving, breath control and how the body reacts during breath-hold. After that, we move to the water for an open water introduction dive, where you will experience freediving in a relaxed and safe environment.

The course also includes a pool session focused on breath-hold and stamina training, with static apnea (STA) and simple exercises designed to simulate the stress and breathing patterns experienced during wipeouts.

 

This short and accessible program is perfect for surfers and kitesurfers who want a quick introduction to breath-hold training and practical tools to stay calm and confident in the water.
